The History of Danny Ford Productions
Winning my first photographic competition in 1987 as a teenaged student in the Texas Panhandle, I knew right away I loved photography and the possibilities for creativity it presented. I took classes then as high school student with studies which paired well with photography. I served on the staff of my school's newspaper and yearbook as a Sports Editor. Following graduation in 88', I attended college as a student of Sound Technology in Levelland Texas where I learned the in and outs of audio engineering, creating music, and creating video productions. After a year's financial struggle as a college student, and having limited employable opportunities, I chose to serve my country to see more of the world and its peoples. As an Air Force photographer stationed in Hawaii, I was blessed with highly skilled photographic training in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. I documented such a wide variety of functions and people it still boggles my mind to think of how fortunate I've been. I've photographed the President of The United States of America. I've documented significant historical events like the 50th Anniversary of the Japanese attack on American military installations in Hawaii. I've documented the Miss Hawaii Pageant and the Honolulu Marathon. I've shot countless dignitaries, celebrities, and the highest ranking political and military officials from across the Earth. I served throughout wartime and my service included additional training in video production. I was sent to Hollywood California's American Film Institute campus to complete course certifications from The Sony Institute in video technologies and techniques. This trained helped me have opportunity to shoot and edit videos for the Air Force and Department of Defense uses. In my off-duty time, I worked in a custom photographic printing lab off-base, and as a free-lance photographer I shot many weddings, portraits, and special events. I shot for the biggest rock station in Hawaii even though it paid nothing. But I was able to shoot major musical acts while having access reserved for a VIP. Throughout my military service I continued to further my education and experience in the fields of my interest and attained my Associates Degree in Audiovisual Production Services from the Community College of The Air Force. My second Associates Degree I earned from South Plains College through studies in Sound Technology. While working on my Sound Technology degree, I was employed as an NBC Network affiliate in Lubbock. I then moved to the FOX/UPN affiliate to work as an editor. I further shaped my skillset through my position as Director of Video Production for a well-respected Dallas law firm where I produced presentations for serious injury and death case trials and mediations. This would remain my career's primary focus as I started my own production company in 2002. Through the decades since, I've recorded countless legal depositions. I've produced countless documentary-style video productions for mediation presentation. I shot and edited countless exhibits used to successfully resolve serious legal matters in County, State and Federal Court matters. Today, I maintain my diverse appreciation for photography, video, and sound technologies and techniques.
